What it is

Right after an appointment, While asks five short, universal questions — what was said, what's next — so there's a written record while it's all still fresh. Details fade fast once you're out the door, and While isn't trying to capture everything, just enough to look back on later.

How it works

  1. Appointment ends.
  2. Open While and answer up to five short prompts — skip any that don't apply.
  3. If you mention a date, While offers to add it to your calendar — it always asks first, never adds silently.
  4. Everything stays on-device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Why it exists

The problem

So “wait, what did the doctor actually say?” has an answer somewhere other than your memory — especially on days when processing everything in the moment just isn't possible. While never records audio, under any circumstance — a deliberate, permanent constraint, not a missing feature.
